Physical and chemical properties:
Sodium persulfate is a white odorless crystal, or powder, broken down by ethanol, stable at room temperature. Often used as a strong oxidant, also can be used as monomer polymerization initiator. It absorbs almost no moisture, and is easy to store and easy to use and safe.
Main Uses:
For the manufacture of persulfate.
Environmental remediation agents: contaminated soil remediation, water treatment (wastewater purification); Waste gas treatment, oxidative degradation of hazardous substances (e.g. mercury)
Used to speed up the treatment of low concentration formalin binder.
Used in the production of starch regulator, and used in the production of adhesives and coatings as desizing agent.
Polymerization: latex or acrylic monomer polymerization solution, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride and other products of the initiator, but also styrene, propylene, butadiene emulsion copolymerization of the initiator.
Metal treatment: treatment of metal surfaces (e.g. in semiconductor manufacturing: cleaning and etching of printed circuits), activation of copper and aluminum surfaces.
Cosmetics: The main ingredient in bleaching formulations.
Textiles: desizing agents and bleaching agents - especially for low temperature bleaching.
Hair dye: It is one of the basic components of hair dye and plays a decolorizing role.
Others: chemical synthesis, disinfectants.
Product specification: Assay ≥99.0%
Precautions for storage and use:
Sodium persulfate is a non-flammable product, but it has combustion-supporting effect because it can release oxygen, so it must be stored under certain conditions. Must be stored in dry, airtight container first, should avoid direct sunlight, heat source, damp and other adverse factors next. In addition, some impurities such as dirt, rust, a small amount of metal and reducing agents may cause the decomposition of sodium persulfate, in the storage and use of the process must also be paid attention to. Direct contact with the eyes, skin and clothing should be avoided during use because the wet sodium persulfate powder and its aqueous solution are bleaching and slightly corrosive.
